RCR Arquitectes has just been awarded with the 2017 Pritzker Prize. The most prestigious international prize and the main award granted to honor an architect in the world, commonly referred to as the "Nobel of Architecture".
This great recognition comes to their almost 30 years of trajectory developed in their hometown of Olot (Girona, Spain), creating architectural works strongly rooted in the landscape, characterized by minimalism connected to its environment. Previously, thanks to their significant contribution to Architecture and society, they have been named in 2010 Honor Members of the American Architecture Institute. They were also awarded the International Spanish Architecture Prize in 2015.
RCR also has a multidisciplinary team of work and with their own collaborators, such as Pau Llimona, one of the most habitual architects of the study and cornerstone in the creating of the ENIGMA’s concept. For Neolith it is an honor to have worked together with them, in a groundbreaking project as the ENIGMA restaurant by Albert Adrià.
Our most sincere congratulations on the deserved prize!
